Two love stories set in two different wars. All wars look the same, but each love story is different. A small gem in the international festival circuit. Based upon one of the best books of Slobodan Selenić.
The film is centered on two parallel love stories that intertwine, both past and present, in the war torn, former Yugoslavia. As victors and victims stream into Belgrade, today and, during the liberation from the Nazis in 1944, - the setting is made for emotional conflict. Romance seems doomed to fail, when surrounded by the backdrop and inhumanity of wartime politics.
This is a beautiful story of passion, humor and tragedy. It is a pleasure to return to the golden days of the Yugoslavian motion picture art, which attracted millions of cinema-goers, before the Balkan War.
Written for the screen by Slobodan Selenic, based on his acclaimed.
